90 Miles Planned but 900 Driven Due to GPS Malfunction
A very old woman set out for a small journey in Belgium. She turned on her GPS and started driving towards her intended destination that was 90 miles away. Suddenly at the start of her journey, something goes wrong in her GPS and the device starts to point towards a destination that is 900 miles away. She obeys the GPS and keeps on driving as she is told. The strange thing is that she doesn’t notice that the journey is stretching longer than it should. She just keeps on driving and spends two nights at the side of the road. She also gets gas when her fuel tank dries out, but she doesn’t notice that as well. During this 900-mile long journey, the only thing that she notices is that after every few hours, the language of the sign boards changes. She realizes that she has been going the wrong way when she reaches Zagreb. Before that she didn’t have any idea that she was not in Belgium.
Apparently cases like these are not uncommon and people have GPS malfunctions all the time. However, this does happen with elderly people because they don’t notice a lot of stuff other than driving.
