Rebekah Brooks talked about hacking at PM’s party Dom Loehnis, Mr. Cameron’s close friend, questioned Brooks whether Coulson can survive press speculations and keep his position at No 10, heart the court.

Mr. Loehnis, an employee with a headhunting firm, informed the Oild Bailey that she said that she was unsure of his survival. During a brief chat, Mr. Loehnis and Brooks agreed that the breach of smartphone voicemail security was a common knowledge.

The friend of the PM told the court that Brooks never talked about the 2006 case or said that she was aware of the phone hacking.
Jonathan Laidlaw defended and asked Mr. Loehnis: “Brook said nothing to show that she had been involved in conducting phone hacking while she was the editor with the newspaper?” No, she did not, said he.

Jurors heard evidence regarding a lunch had by Eimear Cook and Brooks. The lunch was given at the London home of Joanne Manoukian and Rafi.
Mrs. Cook told Monday that Rebekah Brooks said how simple it was to monitor a cell phone voice mails. But Brooks said that she did not talk about hacking phones at all. Mrs Manoukian supported her statement by saying: “I don’t remember we had talked about phone hacking”.
The trial is still on.
