Britain’s most Deadly Tourist Attractions (for Mobile Phones)

Alton Towers has been listed by one mobile insurer as the deadliest tourist attraction in Britain for mobile phones. Even at more sedate family days out, the insurer says, a huge number of mobile users damage their phones.

According to a report, most phone users at the London Dungeon could be seen dropping their handsets because the frights at the attraction "spooked" them. Unzipped pockets also spelt doom for many phones.

The mobile insurer has compiled a chart of the top 10 British days out where people are most likely to file claims for broken phones.

The top of the list is the hair-raising rides at Alton Towers, which comes as no surprise. However, the more sedate thrills of safari parks such as Longleat are highly dangerous to mobile phones too.

Alton Towers accounts for 517 claims, while Blackpool Pleasure Beach is second with 503, according to Mobileinsurance.co.uk. The lowest on the chart is London Zoo, although the risk is still present, with 217 phones broken there. So you may want to steer clear of that attraction as well.
