First fully transparent smartphone could be here by end of 2013
A company known as Plytron Technologies has shown a prototype of the first transparent mobile phone. This smartphone is scheduled to be released by the end of 2013.
The manufacturer has used “Plolyvision Privacy Glass” in order to manufacture the transparent smartphone. A technology called “Switchable Glass” is used to make the handset.
A few pictures of the smartphone prototype has been released by the manufacturer. The pictures show a microSD card slot, space for camera and the battery and a microphone. The company has revealed no information about the hardware, OS or apps of the new smartphone. The company is going to use microscopic cords embedded in the glass. According to some reports, the smartphone will have multi-touch capabilities, and users will be able to use the handset from both sides. Obviously, some hardware components will not be kept transparent. They will be kept hidden with an opaque cover. Maybe the bottom of the device will be covered with that cover.
Perhaps, Xperia Pureness by Sony will become a major competitor of the company, and it will earn Sony huge amounts of revenues, as it will have record-breaking sales. Let us see wait for the launch of the new smartphone. Only then, we will come to know whether users will like it or not.
